Dr. Anjali Daryani
Dr. Daryani graduated in 2015 from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. She spent the first few years of her career in general practice serving the greater sacramento area. More recently Dr. Daryani has found a true passion as an Emergency Veterinarian and currently also works in a specialty emergency hospital.
Dr. Daryani loves to teach and is a faculty instructor at the UCDavis School of Veterinary Medicine. Her interests include emergency medicine, dentistry, surgery, and internal medicine. She is Fear Free certified and is also a certified Pet Loss and Grief Specialist. Her goals are to gain additional elite training and become board certified in canine and feline medicine through the ABVP.
What stands out the most about Dr. Daryani is her endless compassion and love for her patients.
When she is not working or reading veterinary books, she enjoys trying new foods, horse riding, and spending time with her family (Dr. Noack), 3 dogs, horse and her beloved goat!

Dr. Matt Liang
Dr. Matt Liang grew up in Sacramento before moving to Los Angeles where he earned his Bachelors of Science in Psychobiology from the University of California Los Angeles. Prior to pursuing veterinary medicine, he worked in academia as a teaching assistant at UCLA for four years. His veterinary career started as a kennel assistant and CSR at VCA Marina in Venice California prior to moving back north to pursue his doctorate in veterinary medicine at UC Davis, graduating as part of the class of 2019.
After graduating he worked at a fast pace 24 hour hospital and honed his emergency and surgical skills. He also developed a passion for preventative and wellness care. His ability to practice high level medicine and quickly develop rapport with colleagues and clients allowed him to be promoted to Assistant Medical Director in just 4 years after graduating. Prior to joining Folsom Ranch Veterinary Hospital he also worked for 1 year as a relief veterinarian all over northern California at other specialty and urgent care hospitals.
He currently lives in Sacramento with his wife, Isleisi, small dog, Tiny, and his one-eyed pirate cat, Cheeto. In his free time he enjoys playing golf and basketball, supporting his local Sacramento Kings, and spending time with his friends and family.

After graduation, she spent a year getting extra hands-on training through her small animal rotating internship at a private practice in San Diego. She then stayed in sunny San Diego working at an Urgent Care before deciding to move back up to Northern California to be closer to her family.
Dr. Hodapp has a strong passion for wound care, internal medicine, and pain management and is excited to bring this passion to Folsom Ranch Veterinary Hospital.
While not in the hospital, Dr. Hodapp loves spending time with her scruffy dog, Winnie, who was once a nearly hairless kiddo roaming the streets of Mexico, and her fluffy cat, Dani, who Dr. Hodapp adopted through the Orphan Kitten Project while a student at UC Davis.

She is dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care with a gentle touch, empowering pet owners through education, and has special interests in dentistry and dermatology.
Outside the hospital, Dr. Reid enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, their two young boys, and their rescue dogs from Taiwan, Finn and Migo. She loves hiking, playing tennis, and creating beautiful charcuterie boards for friends and family gatherings.

When he’s not caring for animals, Dr. Yuh enjoys spending time with his wife (who is also a critical care veterinarian) and their two kids. They also have three cats and a golden retriever named Archie. Aside from being a golden retriever whisperer, he loves playing with all different vehicles (steam locomotive trains, Lightning McQueen, pickup trucks and many more) with his toddler son.

She went on to attend Ross University, School of Veterinary Medicine in the Caribbean, where she graduated with honors as a member of Phi Zeta, the Honor Society of Veterinary Medicine, in early 2022.
Since graduation, Dr. Rivers has developed a strong passion for urgent care and emergency medicine. She completed a year-long internship that provided experience in both general practice and emergency settings. Through this training and beyond, she has remained deeply committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate care during some of the most stressful moments for pets and their families, while continually expanding her knowledge and clinical skills.
Outside of Folsom Ranch Veterinary Hospital, Dr. Rivers enjoys paddle boarding with her dogs (Finnegan and Moe) during the summer months, spending time with family and friends throughout California, and supporting the Stockton Animal Shelter, where she serves as a shelter medicine veterinarian.

She strives to provide the highest quality of care by treating every pet as if it they were her own and working with a compassionate, personalized approach.
Outside of work, Dr. Poon loves staying active in her community by exploring new restaurants, hosting dinner nights, and playing board games with friends. She also enjoys quieter moments spent painting or reading. At home, she shares her life with her fiancé and a lively crew of pets: dogs Astro, Nori, and Crouton; cats Maki and Masa; and a ball python named Miso.

Kelsey | Director of Dentistry Service

Director of Patient Care
Growing up in a family of animal lovers, always surrounded with multiple animals in the house, Anna knew from a very young age that working with animals was going to be her lifelong passion. That passion led her to receive a Bachelor’s of Science in Animal Science from UC Davis with a pre-veterinary focus. During her undergraduate journey, she realized that being more hands on with animals, performing more of the nursing and husbandry, might be the part of veterinary medicine that she would enjoy most. So, after graduating in 2012 from UCD, she decided that before committing all the time, money, and possibly uprooting her life to attend vet school, she should be 100% certain that being a veterinarian is what she wanted to do. She then applied to the Registered Veterinary Technology program at Cosumnes River College and got accepted, where she later graduated in May 2015 with an Associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology. She sat for both her board exams, passing her last one in June 2016, officially becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT). Her veterinary career has taken her from a kennel attendant at a private practice to a veterinary assistant position at VCA, where she then became an RVT and later a technician supervisor at multiple locations and where she has spent the last 9 years dedicating herself to excellent patient care. Anna absolutely feels that she has found her calling and loves her career as an RVT. Her passion is to provide each patient with high quality care while trying to provide them with the most positive and least stressful trip to the vet. As her own fur babies are her children, she treats all patients as her own not only to make them feel at ease, but their owners, too!
Anna is a proud dog mom of Gemma (dachshund mix), Lenny (schipperke mix), and Zara (Heeler/border collie) and is also a proud cat mom of Poe, the sometimes evil black cat. Outside of work, Anna enjoys lounging around with her pets, reading, and listening to Backstreet Boys.

Tiffany’s veterinary career began in 2011 after touring a Carrington College Campus in Citrus Heights. She was originally touring the school to sign up for the criminal justice program, but when she saw the veterinary technician program and how she could start a career helping and saving animals, she was hooked. She graduated and obtained her RVT license in 2013. Soon after starting her career at an animal hospital in Sacramento, she became a floor supervisor, and was then promoted to lead technician shortly after that. Her passion for exceptional patient care, her team’s mental health and wellbeing, and both staff and client education, have brought her here to FRVH to help spread these shared values to the community. Tiffany loves all aspects of veterinary medicine, but surgery and anesthesia has always been one of her most favorite assignments.
When not working, Tiffany enjoys spending time with her family and pets (a German shepherd, pitbull, chihuahua mix, Pomeranian, and three cats!), watching her son grow and explore, going to the movies, watching and playing sports, and has finally started traveling!

Dr. Justin Uhl

Dr. Justin Uhl, DACVS (SA), is a board-certified veterinary surgeon and the founder of
Summit Veterinary Surgery. He is committed to surgical excellence—combining
advanced technique, meticulous planning, and precise execution to achieve the best
possible outcomes for every patient.
Dr. Uhl earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Davis and later
completed a Master’s degree in Comparative Pathology with an emphasis in bone
biomechanics. He received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree in 2010.
Following veterinary school, he completed a rotating internship and a rigorous surgical
residency at the University of Minnesota. During his residency, Dr. Uhl served as Chief
Resident for two years and contributed to hospital quality oversight as a member of the
Medical Review Board.
Dr. Uhl’s surgical expertise includes orthopedic, soft tissue, neurologic, and minimally
invasive procedures. He has extensive experience treating cranial cruciate ligament
injuries, including a high volume of TPLO surgeries, which make up a significant portion
of his caseload. His approach is rooted in thoughtful surgical planning, evidence-based
technique, and strong collaboration with referring veterinarians to ensure seamless care
before, during, and after surgery.
Outside of work, Dr. Uhl enjoys spending time with his wife, Courtney, and their three
daughters, as well as his grandson Rocky. At home, he’s kept busy by two dogs—Nelly,
an English Mastiff, and Peaches, a Pug—who help remind him daily why great

Dr. MacKie, DVM received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Washington State University in 2005. Following a one-year rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery, he completed his residency training in Cardiology at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. During his time there, Dr. MacKie helped to implement the use of the Amplatz Canine Ductal Occluder for non-invasive treatment of congenital heart disease and assisted in prospective research on pulmonary hypertension and cardiac biomarkers. His clinical interests include echocardiography and electrocardiography (ECG), pulmonary hypertension in dogs, syncope (fainting) associated with heart disease and arrhythmia, congenital heart disease, and congestive heart failure (CHF). Dr. MacKie is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Cardiology).

She then completed a Diagnostic imaging residency at UC Davis, and became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Radiology in 2023. Her research interests during residency included musculoskeletal positron emission tomography (PET) imaging in canines as well as MRI characteristics of canine prostatic neoplasia. In her free time, Nicole loves reading, illustrating, and rock climbing; otherwise, she spends her time trying (and failing) to teach manners to her pandemic puppy, Jack-Jack.

Dr. Le-Nguyen graduated from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. He completed an undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences at UC Davis. Being a general practitioner at local veterinary hospitals, over the years, Dr. Le-Nguyen acquired a special interest in dentistry, soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries.
Upon seeing pets not being able to get the surgeries they need due to pet owner financial constraints, Dr. Le-Nguyen sets out to receive advanced continued education and surgery training. He participates and collaborates with other surgeons and colleagues to hone in on these surgical skills–using the most up to date techniques and standards.
Today, Dr. Le-Nguyen is a veterinarian who is able to provide his surgery services not only in Sacramento, but in surrounding cities. He is able to offer these surgeries to pet owners and local shelters who would otherwise be unable to afford these surprise emergency and complex surgery costs. Pets are getting the treatments they need to live healthier lives and shelter pets are given a second chance to find a new home.

She received her Bachelors of Science from Virginia Tech in 2003, followed by her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. She then completed a rotating internship at The Animal Medical Center in New York City, followed by a cardiology internship and residency at MedVet Medical and Cancer Centers for Pets in Worthington, OH, and became board-certified in 2012.
Dr. Jackson’s interest in cardiology stemmed from experience with her childhood dog who was born with a rare congenital heart disease. She saw first hand how access to specialty consultation can help to further patient care and lengthen life. Her goal is to provide timely, accurate, and detailed cardiology consultations to allow accurate diagnosis and treatment of cardiac disease in pets so they can live long, fulfilling lives.
